Weekly Challenge

In like a lion,
Out like a lamb...

If March comes in like a lion, roaring and gnashing its teeth, is it true that it will end on a sweet, soft note?

Other March tales ...

A dry March and a wet May?Fill barns and bays with corn and hay.
As it rains in March so it rains in June.
March winds and April showers? Bring forth May flowers.
What has the weather done for you lately?  What's in your forecast?

The challenge this week is to share a WEATHER related project.  This can be a card, a layout, anything your heart desires.

Share a link to your project in the comments.

Another Week, Another Challenge

I'm loving the tip share so much, let's do it again!

Enter as many times as you like.

This week, let's share storage solutions that are decorative. Leave a comment with your tip. Include links to pictures, products, etc. I recently saw a cute recycled idea somewhere featuring Chef Rachel Ray. She used a cereal box to store magazines.

There's my fun and decorative share.

This Week's Challenge

This week's challenge is to share a speed-scrapping tip.

For those of us that are behind, working a lot, or have a limited time ... this is a great time to share tips to help us all catch up.

The weekly challenges begin on Monday and end Sunday night.  We choose a random winner.  Winners get to display our Winner's Badge on their blog, and if they are a member of Scrapbook Place, they will enjoy a free PIF to be used at any time.

When we have a challenge like this week's ... where you will be sharing great tips, you will be able to refer to them again and again - for inspiration.  We'll have links on the side to all your favorite posts.

Thanks for visiting, and for playing with us.  Simply leave a comment about speeding up your scrapbooking when your time is limited.

Design Team Share

Created by Linda Weber.
Says Linda:

I picked myself up the free digi image and created a PACKER BACKER support card.  My daughter has reached a weight loss of 65 lb. thru Weight Watchers and this card gave me the perfect opportunity to show her our support.  You can see all the little Packer bears lifting her up on their helmets - well, there is always one difficult child in every bunch, right?  But note the M.V.P. comment and the scoreboard - Home team 65 - Visitor 0.  Get it???
HOW TOS:  I created a 6x6 card with black cs and mounted true Packer green and gold atop it.  I fussy cut the images and restacked them on scrap paper to get the feel.  I laid magic mesh over distressed yellow/gold to look more football like.  I also distressed the magic mesh and even removed it about 1/2 way up the card to get the feeling of something else going on in the background.  Then I attached our little football bears and Shelly (the start player)!

My copic colors used were: E00; E37; E35; Y11; Y15; Y13; G000; G07; G14; YR00.  There is some blending going on with the colorless blender as well.

The interior of the card has an appropriate meaning for my daughter.  She only has 15 to go and I plan on being in the members area the day she receives her lifetime goal pin!

Also sharing, Allie Gower ...
